Digitalisation carries a promise of growth, jobs and culture to all, but ironically, it is by and large the old analogue economy that finances the digital one. The internet has made popular culture even more popular and freely available, but to pay the cost of creating new material is still falling on the old analogue systems greatly. That is the dilemma of digital distribution.
