Regulation, specifically Interchange Fee caps on credit and debit cards, would be especially harmful to consumers and new merchants or start-up businesses that rely on or are developing new innovative solutions for the e-commerce market. It is highly likely that consumers would have much less to choose from and the prices for goods and services could be higher, while entrepreneurs see their incentives to innovate, develop and invest reduced.
